Weaving Change was founded because the industry which created the clothes we loved was built on exploitation.

Fashion is more than shopping, it is a vessel for culture and identity, a medium to explore these ideas and show them to the world.

But if there are no places for these ideas to be explored, how can we engage in them?

We’ve seen what happens when people come together to mend, to create, to learn. Their is a shared excitement around new skills, a new slower pace evolves. The joy of textiles is actually brought to life.

We want to create more spaces. Spaces where we can collectively reimagine how we understand value in our clothes. Spaces where real circularity takes place, people & planet are not being exploited and textiles are a medium for creativity.

destructive industry practices and facilitate a more circular fashion economy.

    Her background as a facilitator and creative, mixed in with a loud frustration for the way in which the fashion system operated catalysed the creation of Weaving Change.
